District 27 Youth Mobility Program
I am studying sciences in secondary school in Germany. I had the hardest time succeeding my French exam and would like to improve my French before starting the new school year. Any place in France is fine for me and I hope to find a Zonta grandma in Dijon who has a 14-year old grandson. We will have the coolest time together under the French sun spoiled by grandma ! And who knows, we might be marrying Zonta girls later on.

I am 21 years old and just finished undergraduate studies in Poland. I will enrol in graduate studies in Hamburg starting September 2017. I would like to discover the city, the university area and find a student room during my study time. The Zonta mobility program allows me to stay at the house of a Zontian in Hamburg. I can take my time and get acquainted with my new university town thanks to the Zonta network.
We are twin sister from Ghent (Belgium). We have a 3 months summer holiday until September 18th before starting university. We decided to make a round trip in Europe. We aim to stay with the local inhabitants because we want to learn to know better the different European cultures and of course also because it is a cheaper way of travelling. We discover the Zonta mobility thanks to our Zonta mum and construct ourselves a 3 week stay in Europe within 5 different Zonta families! We will be future District 27 Zontians !

You are building bridges between Zontians of different countries outside the usual Zonta structures and within a family & friendship setting by allowing young people to live within a family of another Zonta member for one week.
young people can discover a foreign country without spending much money
participating Zontians enhance Zonta member friendship.
AIM OF THE STAY
The young guest spends a week of holiday in another culture and simply participates in the family life of the host family. He or she can use the time in the family as a start and discover other areas of the country.
- You can either host a young relative (boy/girl) of a Zonta member, or send out a young relative (boy/girl) to a Zonta friend elsewhere in the district. There is no “exchange” obligation.
- The district will facilitate the mobility by bringing parties together but will not intervene in the practical organisation. The engaged parties make practical arrangements themselves and take full responsibility bilaterally for organising the stay
The host family provides for bed and breakfast and invitation to the evening family dinner.
The guest respects the rules of the host family. Guests should pay for travelling expenses and all additional personal expenses including lunch (if the host family provides lunch, it is on a voluntary basis).
If the guest uses the wifi password of the family, then clear agreements should be made on amount of downloading allowed and/or the financial consequences to avoid unexpected and/or unnecessary bills for either the family or the teenager.
The duration of the stay is foreseen for one week.
The stay is not a language training, nor an internship, nor an obligation to amuse the guest from morning to evening. The young guest participates in the family life of the host family as if she/he were member of the family – cultural immersion.
How to participate in the program
That is very easy. You only need to provide us with some basic information that the District will need to bring parties together. You can find the registration form for summer 2019 ZONTA YOUTH MOBILITY_InfoSummer2019 V2
